This mixed media work is about what makes Ohio special. The Buckeye State is both rural and urban. The state flag of Ohio is the only nonrectangular state flag in the nation. The people in the artwork illustrates a motto of the United States: “Out of many, one.” They represent various backgrounds and ages coming together to reach a common goal. In this case, the goal is spelling O-H-I-O with their arms. It's an Ohio thing.
