Donald Eric Peoples is a graphic designer, cartoonist, and photographer based in Akron, Ohio. He is a graphic designer for the Akron-Summit County Public Library as well as a freelance artist.

 

From a young age, Don liked to enter contests where drawing or coloring were involved. He's been drawing, coloring, and designing ever since. After participating in the vocational commercial art program at Central-Hower High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from The University of Akron.

 

He illustrated the picture books Nahla’s New York Adventure and My Christmas Piece. Other publications where his work appears include: The Wellness Connection: An Aging is an Art Form Activity BookCooking It Up in Cleveland!, Toon Appétit: Recipes and Cartoons from the Great Lakes Chapter of the National Cartoonists Society, 2015 Northcoast Events Calendar, North: A Graphic Guide to Pittsburgh’s North Side, Attack of the Political Cartoonists, and The Rankins Files Magazine. Don also enjoys photography. Stark State College Akron has one of his photographs as part of its permanent collection of art.

 

Don is the creator of Peoples Greetings: humorous postcards featuring “The Postcard Pals” (Peoples and his animal buddies Penguin, Polar Bear, and Porcupine) as well as custom caricature greeting cards.
